MTV News UK – 14 Sep 2018 14:55:18When the network first brought back ‘I Love You, Daddy’ back in 2017, the song was one of the biggest songs to ever hit MTV, spawning a string of hit singles, a Grammy nomination and an Oscar win.
But the hit has since been a huge commercial flop, with the number of MTV Kids who have been turned off by the music has soared in the past year.
But now the group are back with their second new single, ‘Craziest’.
It’s a track that comes with a lot of baggage.
First off, it has a very weird, off-kilter melody that seems to be taking on a life of its own, even if it’s not a pop tune at all.
And then there’s the fact that it’s written by the group’s own singer, D’Angelo.
In the video for the song, D-Angelo is seen playing a guitar and singing along with his ex-wife, Giselle, who is dressed in a long black dress with a white belt.
“I’m just not afraid of the music,” D-Po is heard saying.
But D-angelo is adamant that he isn’t afraid of what he is doing, despite the fact he is a rapper.
“The music has made me an artist, but it’s just the song that I’m doing, that’s what I do,” he says.
The song is also notable for featuring a line that is, at first glance, rather cryptic, but then it becomes clear what D-o-Lite means.
“This is why we have the word craziness,” D’Lo is heard singing.
“When I was in my 20s, I didn’t even think I had any fear.
I thought I was invincible.
But now I don’t think so.”
